Highland Elementary is located at 2625 Jefferson Street in Omaha. This elementary school serves students pre-kindergarten through sixth grade. Small class size and the assistance of educational paraprofessionals and supplemental resource programs provide an ideal learning environment for every child. These supplemental programs include special education, gifted and talented, guidance and counseling, mathematics, reading, and English as a Second Language. Computer technology is also used to enhance the curriculum for students. Every classroom has a link to the Internet, providing a world of information immediately available to students. The parent-teacher association and school-business partners are also fully involved in providing support for the educational programs. At Highland Elementary staff, parents, and community work together to ensure that each child can grow and develop to his or her fullest potential.
